Why book a one-time legal consultation?
Many questions can be cleared up (or even resolved) during a single conversation with a lawyer. It is often the case that a single conversation with a lawyer saves the client from taking action that could have negative legal and/or economic consequences. This is why a legal consultation is a surefire investment in the protection of your interests.
During the consultation, the lawyer will carefully analyse the factual situation and explain the legal side of the situation to the client, lay out a solution and identify risks and opportunities. This is a time that the lawyer dedicates to the client and resolving the client’s issues.
The information presented during a consultation can be considered legal advice, a recommendation or encouragement to take certain action. In other words, the lawyer assumes liability for the quality of the legal consultation. The lawyer also ensures that all of the information disclosed by the client will be kept in the professional confidence of the lawyer.
Do we provide free initial legal consultations?
The answer is unequivocally ‘no’. To understand this without a knowledge of the way lawyers work is probably impossible. The explanation is relatively simple here: the aim of free initial consultations is to attract new clients rather than resolve the legal questions of new clients. This is why free initial consultations are not actually as ‘free of charge’ as they may seem.
We do not offer such consultations primarily for ethical and moral reasons. Second, our aim is to help the client in the most cost-effective way possible and, depending on the circumstances, to part ways with the client after the consultation and, of course, assume liability for the quality of the legal consultation provided.
How to book a legal consultation
The most convenient way to book a consultation is through the PayPal online payment platform: the client will automatically receive a confirmation of their booking and an invoice, while in turn, the lawyer will receive all the essential information about the new client and the problem or question they are facing and their contact details.
Clients can also pay through the popular Norwegian payment application Vipps. Contact us by email to sandra@latotinaite.no and you will be issued a trust account number.
Payment is also possible via wire transfer to the trust account for holding client funds. Contact us for more information by email to sandra@latotinaite.no and you will be issued a trust account number.
What is a trust account for holding client funds?
A deposit (trust) account is an account that can only be opened for clients identified by law (lawyers, real estate brokers, etc.) for keeping and managing the funds entrusted to them by other individuals, with the funds remaining the property of the individuals who entrusted them.
A trust account allows lawyers to keep clients’ funds separate from their own and keep them safe in a separate account.
How does a legal consultation take place?
Legal consultations are provided remotely – by telephone or via a video conference call app of the client’s choosing.
